User Experience Design
To create the menu navigation menu, content groups are mapped to a site map. Additional navigation aids, such as search boxes and breadcrumbs, may be chosen for inclusion at this time. Also content schemes are selected to identify whether content will be sorted alphabetically, chronologically, or by keyword or another property.
A prototype can be produced to conduct a tree test, used to validate the navigation design.
Users judge the professionalism of an organization by the quality of visual design, so trained artists will choose a high quality template or design one from scratch. The look and feel is presented in documents including 1) style tiles, 2) wireframes, and 3) mockups. Existing corporate branding will be followed when required.
Also during this stage, problems identified during the initial site analysis and usability test will be fixed.
